Label Fixes

Following from the previous class, where Karl made easy enhancements and created a clean white background for his product image, Karl now addresses the label on the wine bottle – an important feature of any bottle shot.

Here, he uses tools such as Warp and Liquify to ensure the label is perfectly even and level throughout, making sure not to affect or distort the writing. He also shows you how to remove small blemishes and imperfections on the label using the Healing Brush and Clone tool.

In this Photoshop class you’ll learn:

  • How to retouch product images
  • How to use Photoshop Warp and Liquify tools
  • How to retouch straight lines using the Photoshop Healing Brush tool
  • How to avoid repeat patterns using the Clone tool

  1. hi, in that video you were doing Dodge and then you went to create an overlay layer of 50% Grey…what is the different between dodge and burn and creating this 50% grey overlay layer? thanks

    1. Hi Peter, this is an older technique or alternative technique. I’d advise using the Burn and Dodge methods from the ‘Photoshop for Photographers’ classes.
