  1. Hello Karl,

Thank you for your valuable videos. i’m new to pro-cameras and have only used Canon Rebel T3i for learning the basics. It’s limitations is stunting my growth and i’m ready for an upgrade. Please, can you recommend a cross-functional camera that i use for film as well as food and portrait photography within a $2000?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hannah.

    1. Hi Hannah, I’m not sure on the budgets because you will also need to consider lenses. But if I was purchasing a full frame 35mm camera I’d be looking at something from the Sony A series cameras as they are superb for stills and video and their line up of lenses is very good too. Canon are also a great brand but I think you’d need to be looking for something with at least 20mp full frame to move forwards.

  2. Hello,

I’ve wanted to ask a technical question about video colour profile settings – as I’ve just started working with video in addition to photography.

Sony A 7IV (which can record 10bit). Which Sony picture profile do you recommend to use for video in a controlled studio environment for the most accurate colour reproduction? Editing in DaVinci Resolve.

I’ve been testing with very mixed results, it would be good to get some direction from someone who is experienced.
    Thanks

    1. Hi, Nikon’s have Sony sensors which are very good. If they have a 4K video mode then it will be good video.
