'Red' Competition Winners
Here are the winners of our 'Red' photography competition.
With the big prize of a Canon 5D Mark IV up for grabs, the competition was fierce for our December competition.
As the theme was 'Red', it was quite open to interpretation, which meant there really was a wide variety of images to choose from. It was great to see the creativity of our members really coming out and see the different interpretations, ranging from more literal product shots to more abstract, arty images.
As usual, the calibre of entries was incredibly high, so it was a difficult task selecting the winner. Our first place winner received a Canon 5D Mark IV while our second and third place winners received a Lee Filters Big Stopper and a Lee Filters Long Exposure Kit respectively.
The winner of the Canon 5D Mark IV is...
1st Prize
1st Place -Adam Borman
What I loved about Adam's image was the symmetry and lighting - everything was absolutely perfect and it made a wonderful product shot. Everything about this image fit with the theme 'Red' and I hope Adam can use his prize to continue his great work.
2nd Prize
2nd Place - Joshua Phillips
This abstract image by Joshua Phillips was a wonderful image that really embraced the theme. I loved the lighting, the look and the feel and thought overall it was a great image.
3rd Prize
3rd Place -Sidar Sahin
I thought this image made wonderful use of occlusion, with the model looking through the red fabric and holding the red umbrella. That, coupled with the great lighting earned it a well deserved place in the top three.
